Modular manual CCR (mCCR)

Very compact, modular and with few parts. Built for travel, caves and tight passages.

Learn more

One of the most compact rebreathers around, built as a modular platform that can be dived in different configurations, not just sidemount. Scrubber and counterlung sit side by side, the breathing loop is short and loop volume small. Designed by Andrew Goring (Sump UK), produced by SmartDive in Portugal, with IDF as its training agency. As an mCCR it needs no solenoid: oxygen flows in through constant mass flow (CMF) or a needle valve, set as close to your metabolic rate as possible, and you add the rest by hand with the MAV. That means few parts, few failure points and a deep understanding of the loop. CE certification is planned for 2027.

Electronic sidemount CCR (eCCR)

Slim and streamlined, handles like a stage cylinder. Built for caves, mines and ice.

From Poland, designed by Andrzej Pałucha and built by Other Gravity. According to the manufacturer it carries and handles much like an aluminium 80 cu ft stage. The 2-litre oxygen cylinder sits inside the housing, the diluent is fed from outside. Type-examined to EN 14143 (CE, 2019): to 40 m on nitrox and 100 m on trimix. It is controlled via Shearwater DiveCAN. Slim and streamlined, built for caves, mines and under-ice diving.

Electronic backmount CCR (eCCR)

Automated checks before every dive and automatic PO₂ control. From recreational diving to trimix dives to 100 m.

Learn more

From Sweden, on the market since 2012. The Se7en runs automated safety tests and sensor calibrations before every dive and maintains the PO₂ by itself. The head-up display and bailout valve are built into the mouthpiece. Expandable from recreational diving to trimix deco dives to 100 m (CE to EN 14143), with manual gas addition for technical dives. The battery fitted sets the depth and deco limits.

Manufacturer figures and practical values as of October 2026 (s7ccr.com, othergravity.com, poseidon.com). The scrubber durations were determined under different conditions and are not directly comparable. The manufacturers do not publish exact dimensions. Which unit suits your diving is something we can discuss in person.

Try it first: CCR try dive

One supervised 40-minute dive on one of the three rebreathers, with no course and no certification. You find out what a rebreather feels like before you decide. CHF 250.–

Rent a rebreather

No unit of your own? For the CCR courses you can rent one of the three rebreathers: CHF 200.– per dive.
